Excellent opportunity to work for the industry leader! This candidate will be working on a team to support HUGE Corporate E -Commerce sites that are complex in nature. This database is 20 Terabytes and they receive over 101.5 million transactions a day!

SCOPE:
This candidate must have experience working with Complex Large Databases and have experience writing complex stored procedures.

This is not a Production Support Role - It is all Database Development. However, in order to interface with the DBA groups, this candidate must have solid knowledge of DBA operations or have prior experience working in DBA Operations.


DUTIES:
This candidate will work on a team with heavy resp. in writing Stored Procedures, Performance tuning, Solid Exp. with Indexing, Optimization, Writing Transact Sequel (T-SQL).

Job Description:
The SQL Server Developer will be responsible for maintaining the DEVELOPMENT databases and working with developers in creating new stored procedures, schemas etc.

They will be responsible for creating and maintaining all logical and physical designs on the database.

This person will be responsible for developing complex database systems, coordinating with the development teams and architects. Including design, development, and implementation of Microsoft SQL Server to help the Development Organization become more efficient.

Design and develop advanced database solutions, including T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, functions and schemas to enable and support development objectives.

Must have demonstrated the ability to prioritize issues of varying severity, and effectively manage the resolution of all issues within accepted service levels along with the ability to work with development teams to execute product releases.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server.

Improve processes and procedures to increase overall reliability while providing mentoring, guidance and direction to development staff in techniques for writing efficient SQL code by promoting good SQL coding practices and applying functional area expertise to optimize the programming results through adherence to corporate information security guidelines.


Required Skills:
10 Years of Database Experience.

Solid Experience with SQL 2000/2005.

Strong Exp. with Writing Complex Stored Procedures.

Experience developing Large Complex Databases.
