Description
We are seeking a Senior Database Developer with Oracle and SQL Server experience to assist in developing solutions in an agile development environment.

Job Summary:
You will be responsible for supporting existing Linux Database systems and for developing and implementing new systems and environments. Also, you will be developing technical specifications from functional business requirements, integrating products produced by development, and implementing third party solutions.




Experience/Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (or equivalent experience).

- Experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle required.

- 3+ years PERL and/or Linux shell scripting (currently SUSE 8.0).

- 3+ years of development of SQL, T-SQL, PL-SQL, triggers and DTS.

- Independent problem solving skills, self-motivated.

- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostics and analytics skills.

- Strong Communication Skills.

- Utilize stored procedures, shell scripts, PERL, C to develop data solutions as needed.

- Logically create solutions to improve productivity and efficiencies.

- Works with the business, analysts and project managers to determine the business requirements for new applications and reports.

- Supports existing processes and develops new scripts and programs.

- Administer/troubleshoot environment and application issues and identify and acquire additional resources when necessary.



Additional Responsibilities

- Develop solutions utilizing Endeca Software.

- Performs all other duties as assigned.




Desired Skills

- Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent needs.

- Ability to identify system improvements, plan and implement.

- Knowledge of Endeca.
