Senior Database Engineer - JS-1309

A Jersey City, NJ client has an immediate need for Senior Database Engineer.

Candidate will perform data modeling for a highly-available distributed system. Write database design specifications. Work with SQA to validate the correct implementation of the database(s). Interact with other engineering teams and other stakeholders as appropriate. At least 7 years of experience in a Senior Software Engineer role. At least 5 years experience in data modeling. Strong knowledge of the SDLC and SQA/SCM. Ability to product technical specifications with minimal supervision, and attend meetings answering technical questions regarding specifications. Experience with OOA/D/P, UML, design patterns, frameworks, and tools. Experience in fundamental relational database concepts. Experience in database design. Experience with rational and object-relational mapping to business entities/objects. Experience designing and implementing database performance strategies using indexes, table storage method configuration and query optimization. Experience importing to and exporting data sets from XML/MS Excel/CSV.
