SUMMARY:

- CDI Aerospace is currently looking for a Senior Design Engineer to join or team. The qualified candidate will be part of our new design facility in Philadelphia, PA. The qualified candidate will perform intermediate design tasks such as conceptual design and advanced modeling utilizing Catia V5. They will also investigate and analyze customer requirements to develop solutions.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

- Create design concepts, layouts, and solutions by investigating and analyzing customer specific problems.
- Develop estimates of time and materials required for project.
- Identify and prepare hardware specifications.
- Ensure form, fit, and function of multiple components.
- Perform tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Work as a team member to accomplish all tasks.
- Ensure high quality of work performed.
- Technical decision making and judgment required to perform routine duties.
- Complete simple internal documents and other related duties.
- Mentor Jr. Designers.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Requires Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.
- Requires minimum 7 years prior design experience or demonstrated equivalent performance level.
- Requires minimum 7 years experience in primary aircraft structures.
- Previous rotorcraft experience preferred.
- Must have demonstrated ability on Catia V5 to develop design concepts.
- Must have demonstrated ability in Enovia.
- Must have demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills ensuring positive customer relations.
- Demonstrated knowledge and proper application of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (ANSI Y14.5).
- Must have ability to focus mental and visual attention closely on work for sustained periods of time.
- Must possess organizational skills.
