Description
Our major healthcare client is seekins a senior level Desktop Support Professional to provide technical support and guidance in planning, implementation and ongoing operations of LANs and WANs, and implementation of end user computing applications and devices. Specific job duties include:*Provides on-going user support for NT/W2K/XP workstation hardware/software, analyzes PC/LAN problems and takes corrective action. Identifies and communicates local site needs and installs new PC/LAN hardware & software. *Coordinates in conjunction with the Workflow Desk installations, upgrades, configurations and moves of PC workstations, printers, and software. *Familiarizes end user with functionality of application software. Coordinates and performs basic user administration (adds, deletes, changes, back-ups, etc.) *Resolve software issues for standard office products including MS Office, e-mail clients, mainframe terminal emulation, communication software. *Provides tech consulting to clients in the desktop area and follow up on specific inquiries or requests to ensure client satisfaction. *Experience with network account admin. for NT, W2003, Veritas Backups, Active Directory, Print Queues, and e-mail.

Requirements:

BS Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology and 4 to 6 years related experience or 8 to 10 years related experience. Incumbent's ability encompasses full knowledge required within specialty area. Typically designs and develops approaches that are implemented by others. Is able to function independently with minimal oversight and direction. Must possess excellent customer service skills and team work attitude.
