Reporting to a Director of the IT Applications group, applicant will participate in the design and development of new and existing software in support of Fixed Income and Asset Management business.

Specific Responsibilities

-Candidate will be responsible for supporting operations, and project initiatives for the companies Asset Management Trade Desk.

-Candidate will be responsible for software development and design, systems integration, and testing.

-Candidate will work with business customers, gathering, defining and implementing business solutions using MBIA's standard development toolset of Microsoft C# .NET and Oracle RDMS.

-Candidate must be able to work independently, as well as with a team.

- Candidate must be able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven, dynamic environment, ability to multi-task

Qualifications

-The sucessfull candidate will have a five to seven year track record in the design, development, implementation and support of business applications.

-Experience developing and / or supporting Trade Desk / Asset Managment is desired.

-Experience and knowledge of Fixed Income products and financial derrivatives is desired. i.e. CDO, CMO, CMBS, RMBS, FX / Currency / Credit Swap transactions.

-Experience with any of the following applications is desired: Principia PAS, Charles River Trade Order Management System, Princeton Accounting, Derrivitave Solutions, Intex Desktop / Deal Maker, Summit.

-The candidate should have three to five years experience developing applications using C++, Visual Basic, Microsoft C# .NET, Oracle Forms, etc. Strong object oriented coding experience is important.

- Experience designing and delivering Service Oriented Architecture is a plus

-The candidate should be proficient in Structured Query Langauge, specific skills in Oracle PL-SQL a plus.

-Experience as a working project manager with small to medium sized teams is a strong plus.

-Must have excellent analytical skills and a strong desire to continue their technical education. Excellent communications skills are a must. The candidate will be expected to contribute to our technical strategy as well as efficiently producing reliable production code.

-Will consider placement at the Assistant Vice President band for highly experienced and proven professionals.df-tc
