Description
CITADEL is looking for a senior Development manager for our major Brokerage client in NY city. It's a full time opportunity, only GC/US CITIZENS can apply. CURRENT BROKERAGE EXP IS A MUST. Brokerage group maintains, enhances and provides production support of business critical systems which are utilized by advisors, correspondents, and back office personnel to service customer and firm accounts in accordance with corporate policies and brokerage regulations. The senior development manager is a management role. The individual, in this position, will be reporting to the software engineering/development management director and will have responsibility for a team of 6-7 development professionals. This position represents an opportunity to play an active role in developing system and process innovations in a world class financial industry organization widely recognized as a technical innovator. This opportunity is augmented by the chance to participate in the development of off-shore (INDIA) staff, engaging in knowledge transfer and sharing the responsibility for system maintenance and development. Building and motivating a highly engaged team will be one of the primary responsibilities of this position. Additional responsibilities include the development of individuals as subject matter experts of their assigned systems, as well as, staff mentoring.

Requirements:

Ability to work, in a team, to define effective technical solutions to business requirements and collaborate with business partners in defining future innovations ? Planning and analytical skills as well as the ability to communicate ideas and plans verbally and in writing ? Experience with project organization, methodology and planning. Qualifications: ? 2-5 years of management experience ? Solid business background ? Mainframe systems background is required ? Experience in brokerage is required ? Working knowledge of COBOL, CICS, DB2, mainframe applications ? Excellent technical skills and knowledge of distributed platform is a plus ? Strong oral, written and presentation skills ? Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects ? Candidate must work well in a team environment and possess good documentation skills ? Good leadership skills and management of resources ? Experience with journal entry applications and insight into bookkeeping processes ? Familiarity with Trading Interest practices is a big plusdf-tc
