Description
Robert Half Technology is seeking a junior web application developer for one of our top clients in the Louisville, Kentucky area.

The client has recently moved into a brand new, state-of-the-art facility in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The facility is home to an industry-leading technology development team that is an innovator in the areas of Internet application processes, intranet report and data streaming, and customer-focused reporting support, all built with open system protocols that provide tremendous flexibility. The development team continues to evolve and refine these tools to provide the company and its customers with prompt and efficient access to information.

We have been retained to search for a senior Web Application Developer to join this team.

Your duties would include:
  • Development of web-based applications authored in Visual Studio.NET.
  • Interfacing with other team members (including business system analysts) to gather requirements and prioritize various projects.
  • Working with internal customers to help plan the software aspect of the company's growth
  • Mentoring junior-level developers who you will be assigned to work with on various projects.

Please note that this position is a three month contract-to-hire opportunity.

Experience/Skills
You are the ideal candidate if you have
  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer programming, information technology, or a related field, or an associate's degree with relevant experience.
  • At least three years of experience including prior experience with both web-based and desktop applications.
  • Strong experience with C#.NET and ASP.NET.
  • Some experience with VB.NET, C++ and ADO.NET.
  • Experience on the .NET Framework 2.0.
  • Experience interfacing with SQL Server 2000.
  • Prior experience developing XML Web Services.
  • AJAX experience.
  • Experience with Team Foundation Server or a similar collaborative development project would be ideal.
