We are currently seeking to fill a Senior .NET Developer position for our client in Deerfield, IL. We invite you to review the position requirements below and apply today if your skills match our need.

Overview:
Our client's Information Services & Technology Team is seeking an experienced Senior .NET Developer with a strong background in oop database development and integration with distributed n-tier web applications.

The candidate will have a unique opportunity to work within an innovative custom framework built in .Net 2.0 to define, design, develop and guide implementation of cutting edge Web applications utilized by industry leading clients.

Responsibilities:
- Work with Business Analysts to analyze and convert business requirements into scalable, robust and flexible designs
- Design and develop reusable software components
- Participate in design sessions with architects and developers
- Ensure code and design meets specifications, quality and security standards, and is maintainable
- Utilize industry standard techniques such as UML to document and interpret designs
- Unit test software components
- Follow configuration management/version control policies
- Investigate and research defects, present solution with estimated work effort and implement

Qualifications:
- 7+ years of application development experience
- 5+ years building web application with ASP.NET and VS.NET, or J2EE
- 5+ years of C# or Java
- 5+ years of application architecture and design experience
- 5+ years of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
- 5+ years with database performance, tuning, and optimization
- experience in stored procedure, trigger and database design knowledge
- Experience in relational database skills (Sybase, SQL Server, Oracle)
- Experience in application and database security, scalability and performance
- Knowledge of the .NET Framework (1.1 and 2.0) or J2EE
- Familiarity with modeling tools and the ability to read and construct basic UML diagrams
- Familiarity with XML, web services is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal is a must in applying design patterns in applications
- Excellent database and application integration skills
- Experience leading and mentoring other developers
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with members of other groups
- Experience working in small collaborative groups using Agile methodologies
- Experienced in using architecture/design tools such as Visio, IBM Rational, Borland Together
- Experience in the healthcare or insurance industry desired
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
-10 years or more in the IT industry, with a minimum of 5 years in development using Object Oriented Languages, and a minimum of 5 years using C#, ASP.NET, SQL, or Java.
