Description
The Senior Business Systems Developer must be a dynamic contributor, passionate about design, development, and implementation of new applications, interfaces, and systems integration. The ideal candidate will make a difference individually or as part of a team. The position reports to the Manager of IT-Business Systems and fulfills a dedicated role in the implementation and support of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application providing traditional back-office functionality (AP, AR, GL, etc.). The candidate will also lead integration projects associated with the ERP system, as well as the migration of legacy business system logic/data as new ERP modules are deployed. Additionally, this position will be responsible for the creation (includes analysis, design, development, documentation) and maintenance of in-house and 3rd party applications used to fulfill organizational objectives. These applications and systems range in complexity from simple reports to complex database projects and systems integration initiatives.Candidates must be capable of: Communicating clearly and effectively with the client, the team and all other individuals involved with a project Translating business requirements into actionable design and development tasks Timely delivery of quality components within the proposed solutions framework Managing multiple projects and changing priorities Managing changes to projects in progress Working nights and/or weekends as required

Specific Responsibilities:Propose solutions alternatives to simple and complex business problems and opportunities. Implement and maintain 3rd party software applications and procedures Maintain and/or enhance current applications and procedures Develop new applications, procedures, and interfaces. Document applications and procedures (at the technical and user level) Train users in using applications and procedures Resolve user problems Identify and exploit new technologies, techniques, and methodologies Mentor Junior Developers Other duties as assigned Requirements:A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) in Computer Science, Information Systems or a comparable field of study from a four-year college or university The equivalent experience Demonstrable proficiency in the following:MS Windows Operating Systems (i.e. 2000, XP) MS SQL 2000 and/or MS SQL 2005 (i.e. Table Design/Administration; Stored Procedures; Query Analyzer) MS Access and MS Windows Forms Development Visual Basic For Applications ADO .Net ASP .Net VB.Net Must have knowledge of the following:Traditional back-office systems and applications supporting Finance (AP, AR, GL) and Human Resources (Payroll, Benefits, Performance Management, Applicant Tracking)Web Technologies (i.e. IIS, HTML/Web Presentation Layer, Web Services) MS Office Suite Visual Basic (6.0) Knowledge in the following is a big plus:Epicor Financial/Project Software UltiPro HRMS Software Crystal Reporting FRx Reporting Cognos Reporting Serena TeamTrack Software Direct Marketing experience and knowledge Mainframe experience Certifications / Technical Training
