Description
Alcon is a $3.0 + billion global company specializing in the discovery, development, manufacture and marketing of ophthalmic surgical and vision care products.

Seek senior electrical engineer capable of design and development of embedded systems. The individual will be responsible for embedded system design, implementation, integration, testing and documenting the product design in a multi-functional team environment.

This is a contract opportunity that has the potential of lasting 2+ years.

Requires BSEE and a minimum of 10 years hands-on design experience, CAD (OrCAD & MathCAD preferred) design tools, strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience with embedded systems design with 16 and 32-bit micro controllers, MathCAD data analysis, EPLD/FPGA design using VHDL, transducers, stepper motors, brushless DC motors, and related electro-mechanical devices preferred. C programming skills, ability to write test code for hardware designs, and experience with medical device development a plus.
