We have an immediate need for a Senior ETL Developer with experience in Data Warehousing on UNIX

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently looking for a Senior ETL Developer with 5 or more years experience in an operational Data Warehouse in a UNIX environment to develop and deliver mission critical solutions for a major Financial Institution. The ideal person will be expected to take an idea from concept to implementation. This includes thorough analysis of the current environment, developing technical specifications and designing a solution utilizing the available technology to deliver robust solutions for our business partners. This person will also be expected to work on complex data problems with little or no supervision.

Technical and Personal skills required:
MUST have strong UNIX command line experience with experience in writing embedded SQL in Korn shell scripts. Minimum 4 years experience
UNIX must be primary operating system
MUST be able to communicate clearly with the ETL Development team, Technical Managers and Business Partners
Need to be able to take a concept from a white board to a viable solution in a reasonable length of time
5+ years experience writing and implementing ETL solutions utilizing Ascential DataStage Enterprise Edition or PX.
Should be able to write clear and concise Technical Specification documents for peer reviews
Need to have working experience with DB2 UDB utilities in an UNIX AIX environment
Should have familiarity with DB2 Triggers, DB2 Views and DB2 Catalog tables.
Should be able to perform valid unit testing and QA work
Exposure to Business Objects and Power Designer are a plus.
