Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Develop test systems for medical implant products. Design, build, validate and qualify test systems for use in the production of medical electronics.

DUTIES:
1. Test System Development: Design, build and validate test systems for implantable and external electronics. Write test requirements, test specifications, validation plans & reports and test procedures.
2. CAD Simulation: Using the most up to date simulation tools, verify that the design meets all requirements.
3. Design Verification: Contribute to the writing and execution of the design verification test plan and report
4. Test Development: Develop test systems for testing the functionality of ICs during development and production.

EXPERIENCE:
1. Total experience: Minimum of 5 years Automated Test Equipment (ATE) design.
2. Electronics experience: Minimum of 5 years electronics and software design experience associated with the development of test systems.
3. Tool experience: Minimum of 5 years experience with LabView and/or C programming of test systems.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
1. Test system design for high reliability applications: Experience designing test systems for medical, aerospace, automotive, or other high reliability applications.
  • Experience with electronic test instruments
  • Experience with GPIB and RS232 interface.
  • Experience with various types of data acquisition.
    2. Writing skills: Ability to document designs and reports in a clear and concise manner.
    3. Operating style: Hands-on, action-oriented, with good analytical and experimental work habits. Good interaction with other team members in the development of specifications and project plans. Effective in producing clearly written technical and non-technical product documentation.

    EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
    1. Degrees: BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; MS degree preferred.
    2. Technical training: Evidence of continuing education in new technology development and applications, as well as advanced product development tools and processes.df-tc
