Description
Responsibilities: Ensures implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed. Ensures that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations. Develops, designs, installs, provisions, tests, and maintains telecommunications applications. Assists in the development of departmental communications network strategy. Evaluates and develops technical quality/ability of subordinates, vendors and other professionals. Defines communication problems as identified by user and interprets options in light of Communications Planning departmental goals and capabilities. Ensures proper planning and implementation or system acceptance. Conducts cost benefit analysis and determines cost effectiveness of communications systems. Prepares procedures and reviews documentation. Prepares documentation for all fieldwork. Stays current with technical developments in communications. Responds to needs/direction/orientation of senior management. Provides engineering support to communication systems operations through troubleshooting skills and thorough knowledge of communication system component theory and design. Candidate will be required to have a valid drivers license and be required to lift equipment when required. Will also be required to travel to Con Edison locations on a daily basis to install, test, provision, and maintain fiber optic multiplexing equipment, channel banks, microwave, and communications circuits.You may apply directly with ?id=3957899df-tc
