Sr Engineer - Infrastructure ServicesLocation: Walnut Creek,CADescription:Workday is looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Infrastructure team. You'll be a member of a small team that designs, installs, and manages all of the servers and networks in Workday's operations.Responsibilities/Experience/Skills/Education: * Racking, cabling, and maintaining servers, network gear, and storage network equipment in our data centers. * Configuring servers and ensuring they're properly configured * Configuring network switches and routers * Configuring services (httpd, mysqld, sshd, mail) * Configuring SSL accelerators and load balancers * Designing and testing disaster recovery plans * On-call to respond to alerts of possible system issues * Wizard-level (well, demi-wizard) Linux knowledge * Experience in configuring medium-size switches, routers, firewalls - NAT, BGP, iptables should be your friends * Ability to work well with others, especially those with less technical expertise than you. * Ability to document what you do and follow established processes. What we do needs to be repeatable and auditable * Bonus points for expertise in: NAS/SANs, MySQL clustering, BigIP iRules, Client-side SSL certificates, IP Phone systemsdf-tc
