Responsible for installation and maintenance of Microsoft and Novell servers and Operating systems. Also responsible for infrastructure software related to those systems, to include but not limited to, Groupwise, Exchange, Zen Works, McAfee, VMWare, Wireless (RF) technology, Software distribution tools, Active Directory, QIP, DNS/DHCP, backup/restore technology (TSM). Responsible for hardware support and troubleshooting for all servers supported in Richmond site.

Responsible for specific application support as assigned by management. Participates in on call rotation and is expected to be available 24 x 7, during that period.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides technical &/or project leadership for mid to large-scale projects.

Provides solutions to a wide range of difficult problems requiring creative solutions. Initiates creative methods and collaborative problem solving

Often develops overall project plans; develops an action plan for meeting IT objectives and business unit solutions.

Works with clients to determine technology solutions; emphasis is on systems integration; frequent inter-organizational and external contacts.

BASIC QUALIFICATION

BS/BA + 7 years or MS/MA + 5 years or PhD + 2 years or equivalent experience. Intermediate knowledge of hardware/ software; wide application of knowledge in a major technical area and other supported areas.

Training in TSM/AIX, Microsoft Server, Novell Netware and GroupWise, EMC SAN.

Seven to ten years working experience with a Bachelor's degree. The work should include TSM, Neware and Windows servers.
