Description
CDi is in HOT/IMMEDIATE need for a Senior Engineering Technician to join our team.

Responsible for setting up, building and checking test sets and fixtures to be used for testing trainer operational equipment and cable assemblies.
Writes test procedures for verifying the operational status of trainer subassemblies. Assist with assembly and testing of prototype circuits and electro-mechanical assemblies.

Performs hardware/software integration of production simulators. Assist with testing and troubleshooting of assemblies and subassemblies including wiring harnesses and cable. Assist with standard testing on a variety of training devices.

May assist with on-site delivery and testing of training devices. This position reports to the Test Department Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Assembly of electro-mechanical assembly including wiring and soldering IAW engineering drawings.

Develops test procedures for components, assemblies and cable harnesses.

Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical assemblies using engineering drawings, schematics and wire lists.

Works under general supervision and follows established procedures.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates Degree and 5-10 years experience in an associated field. May be substituted with 10 or more years experience with electro-mechanical assembly and testing.

Possesses general working knowledge of the Simulation and Training industry practices, standards and technology areas.

Knowledge of basic test equipment including multimeters, and oscilloscopes.

Knowledge of Contractor and Government testing requirements.

Good communication skills.

Good reasoning abilities. Sound judgment.

WORK SCHEDULE:
Standard Monday =E2=80=93 Friday, 8am =E2=80=93 5pm, with 1 hour for lunch.

Additional hours maybe required depending on project status. Occasional weekends may also be required.
