Do you have 8+ years of senior level experience in IT Architecture, System Engineering, or Software Engineering; technical experience in a large enterprise?

Do you have a solid background in SOA (ideally implemented an enterprise SOA architecture)?

Do you have active secret clearance and the ability to commute or relocate to Clarksburg, West Virginia?

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Enterprise Architect to provide system engineering support services for to our government account!

Must Have Skills:

* Secret Clearance Required, TS Clearance Preferred
* 8+ years of senior level experience in IT Architecture, System Engineering, or Software Engineering; technical experience in a large enterprise
* Solid background in SOA (ideally implemented an enterprise SOA architecture)
* Direct experience in significant development and/or IT operations environments and data architecture, preference for direct experience in database architecture
* Experience in evaluating vendor products and services to determine best fit solutions at the enterprise level; A balanced and experienced view of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) versus Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) solutions
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Skilled in expressing technical concepts clearly in writing and in presentations
* Skilled at participating in engineering level discussions where diplomacy is required to defend the architectural position or identify engineering input for architectural improvements

Responsibilities:

Provide technical and architectural expertise and review to/of agency programs and projects, including membership on multiple Integrate Project Teams.
Support the Division's programs to select approved and appropriate architecture artifacts to the major agency initiatives.
Review agency IT architecture planning and implementation processes, develop recommended improvements, and document the results of the review.
Advise department on the technical aspects of the SoS technical architecture to ensure interoperability among the agency networks, databases, and systems.
Provide responses to standard process and HQ data calls.
Architecture document maintenance and distribution; recommend revised policies and processes to optimize the implementation of the technical architecture.
Review requisition packages
Update, merge, and refine the Standard Products List to document agency approved software and hardware platforms for use within the agency Enterprise
Perform analysis of strategic plans, risk management plans, and SOA artifacts to provide insightful cost savings and/or cost avoidance recommendations
Provide studies and analyses in support of the SoS.
Maintain awareness of new technologies and advise the client of their potential application to the SoS.
