Description
RMG Connect, a division of JWT, is seeking a Senior Enterprise Developer responsible for designing, developing and maintaining code (primarily J2EE) for our clients. Activities performed include understanding the business domain, working with business requirements, designing, coding, deploying, bug tracking, and ensuring development standards and best practices are adhered to within the client’s technical guidelines.

Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management
• Lead a code review for their own applications
• May be asked to lead technical discussions or guide other technical resources through UML documentation

Client Relationship Management
• Work with client technology teams on hosting, joint application development and delivery
• Be able to communicate effectively with client technical resources to share architectural vision and explain documentation

Technology Administration
• Maintain your own development environment, including your IDE and assorted tools such as a CVS client
• Assist the Tech Lead with maintenance and support of test and production infrastructure, including configuration of the web application
• May be asked to be on-call for off-hours application support in a rotating basis
• May be asked to perform builds and deployments to test and production environments

Architecture & Design
• Design robust, maintainable, but straightforward applications using best practices and patterns and expressed with industry standard UML
• Communicate designs to other team members and assist with their understanding of them

Development & Understanding Technology
• Develop clear, commented, maintainable code following either your design or a design provided by the Tech Lead

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• 5+ years Java/J2EE development and design experience
• Experience using Struts, ant, log4j, SiteMesh, Hibernate
• Experience with a variety of Application servers (Tomcat preferred), Web servers (Apache preferred) and Database servers (Oracle, SQL Server preferred)
• Experience with UML
• Experience with HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS
