Sr Financial Analyst

4 month contract in Bellevue WA.
Start 4/15/06

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for ensuring rigorous and consistent evaluation of financial impact of the individual projects within the project portfolio, providing transparency of the consolidated financial impact of the program to the company.

Responsibilities:

Provide a rigorous review of project level financial plans to ensure accuracy and consistency across projects. Identify and help resolve conflicts where projects may intersect to prevent double counting of costs or benefits.

Maintain primary financial oversight of the portfolio including consolidation and reporting of financial status and tracking of actual results. Specific activities include, but are not limited to, the following:

o Coordination of project financials and consolidation into a single, portfolio-level view
o Monitoring project milestones and status updates in order to anticipate the financial results of projects within the portfolio and ensure that financial forecasts remain current.
o Leading the post-implementation review of project financial plans to ensure transparency with regard to the achievement of intended results. Interpret the financial data and metrics and tie this data back to overall project and work stream objectives.
o Coordinate with finance teams across the business to ensure that the impacts of projects are accurately reflected in the Companys financial forecasts.

Preparation and presentation of all related financial reporting
Assist in creating senior management project updates and presentations
(Executive Sponsors, Exec, TLT)
Support Project Leaders and other team members with the interpretation of financial data and metrics.
Perform ad-hoc analysis as required


Qualifications:

3 5 years of financial analysis experience with a heavy emphasis on preparing detailed metric driven project level financial reporting, analysis, forecasting and budgeting.
Solid business sense and qualitative analytical skills
Strong quantitative financial analytical skills
Strong spreadsheet modeling skills
Solid strategic and tactical business skills wand a passion for using data to drive decision making
Ability to see big picture and also to dive into the details when necessary
Very strong communications skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work under pressure within deadlines as a team player and with minimal supervision
Very strong results orientation
High level of professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook, Access
Bachelors degree required ; MBA or consulting experience useful
