Senior Accounting/Financial Analyst

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Position will be responsible for the entire Advertising Revenue Cycle. This cycle includes invoicing, deferred revenue reconciliation and analysis, calculating appropriate revenue recognition and associated analysis, reconciliation and analysis of deferred revenue and associated general ledger entries, and AR management responsibilities. Receivables management will include but is not limited to handling invoicing inquiries from customers, pursuing the inquiries to resolution, and processing associated debit and credit memos.

Position requires heavy interaction with third party and intercompany customers.

At some time in the future, there will, potentially, be a Finance aspect to this position which will involve preparing and managing weekly, Advertising Revenue weekly, monthly and annual forecasts and associated variance analyses.

Finally, all of the Ad Revenue systems are proprietary and data driven. Candidate must have the ability to work with proprietary and legacy systems and propose and implement process improvements. This position may be asked to calculate sales commissions.

Processing & issuance of monthly invoices for Advertising.

Customer interaction, researching and resolving issues.

Special Projects, Sales Customer Service, Accounting & Finance.

Calculating, analyzing, reconciling and researching appropriate advertising revenue to be recognized in accordance with GAAP. Recording associated journal entries in SAP.

Continual process improvement.





Top Skills/Qualifications:

Must have 4-6 years accounting experience, especially emphasis with revenue recognition.

Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Business Administration with an emphasis on Accounting

CPA a huge plus.

Expert user of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, data/report models, Vlookups, etc.). Above average user of Microsoft Access and Word. Experience with writing and running SQL queries a plus.

Strong analytical skills. Attention to detail.

Strong General Ledger skills.

Experience working with an enterprise system, SAP preferred.

Self motivated and team player. Embraces change. Flexible.
