Description
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must have extensive experience (5+ years) supporting firewall systems. Strong knowledge of networking, network and O/S security, VPN, SMTP, FTP, and DNS. Scripting experience (preferably Perl). Experience with vulnerability assessment, port scanning, IDS (Cisco). Solid understanding of project management. Cross-platform knowledge. Will interact with teams that support Windows (Exchange) and Unix (SendMail, DNS, FTP, etc.). Ability to provide on-call support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support for the firewall environment, including problem resolution and customer work requests. Lead and manage small projects, as well as serving as a resource in larger projects. Manage table, rule, user, and group configurations. Routine maintenance, including hardware and software deployment/configuration, patching, etc.
Monitoring and reporting. Programming and scripting (preferable Perl), as required.
Capacity planning, performance and tuning analysis for key performance indicators.
Research and evaluate technological advances and tools in the areas of firewall and network security.
