Description
The candidate will be an integral team member responsible for the design, development, documentation, and testing of the embedded real-time software components for various telephony communications devices. Duties include development and verification of low-level embedded software and integration into product form. These duties include the use of debugging tools such as logic analyzers, emulators, and data monitors to characterize and verify operation. Additionally, the use of development tools such as cross compiler tool chains, configuration management tools, bug tracking tools, and performance analysis tools is required.

Experience/Skills
Requirements:
BSCS or BSCE or BSEE (MS preferred)
Minimum of 3+ years developing and testing embedded software applications in C/C++ and assembly language on target custom hardware
Understanding of both the practical and theoretical aspects of real-time embedded design including priority assignment algorithms, scheduling algorithms, data structures, sorting techniques and searching techniques
Knowledge regarding memory management, reentrance issues, message queues, common bus structures, and other issues pertinent to real time software design
Knowledge of low level device drivers
Contemporary software engineering skills and knowledge
Application of effective processes throughout the software development cycle
Must be able to handle multiple tasks, have strong communication skills, and work in a multidisciplinary team environment
Experience with logic analyzers, scopes, emulators, and data monitors
Solid understanding of software development tools for embedded processors
