Analytical Skills: The ideal candidate will Responsible for performing Sysadmin activities and performance tuning of all HP-UX Unix servers including both hardware and operating systems. This individual will provide internal customer support to users regarding setting up new accounts, changing permissions, Supporting Application on Servers, and SFTP accounts. Exposure to other OS like Solaris or AIX will be preferred. Experience with migrating HP-UX to AIX or Solaris is added Plus.

Tasks include but are not limited to:
. Modify and develop UNIX software needed to support the systems and application integration.
. Assist in developing and testing scripts to monitor and control system resources.
. Install and maintain network cabling and SCSI device setup.
. Install and configure peripherals including shared disk arrays, switches, and adapters.
. Diagnose hardware and software problems and perform repairs within the TCP/IP network environment.
. Update systems integration and implementation documentation as designs, architectures, and plans evolve.
. Enable cron jobs and scripts to automate tasks required for optimizing operations.
. Provide active participation to schedule, coordinate, and perform installations of hardware, software and operating systems upgrades, changes, configurations.
. Set standards with the programming division on Unix shell scripting programs.
. Setup SFTP sites and automation jobs with external clients.
. Support and maintain all corporate quality standards, policies, procedures, and work instructions as outlined in the company quality system documentation.
. Ensure customer satisfaction by preventing the occurrences on non-conformaties relating to product, process, and quality systems.
Requirements for Consideration
. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Technology.

. Minimum of 5 years Unix experience with HP-UX and AIX / Solaris system administration.

. Extensive programming experience in administrative language (Perl, shell).

. Experience configuring network file systems.

. Experience with TCP/IP networking protocols.

. Experience with host security, file system integrity, and firewalls.

. Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical documentation.

Systems Administration Expert: A Senior HP-UNIX Admin(11.11, 11.23) is needed to help support application teams with builds and upgrades, patching and building servers. The consultant will need to write Korn-shell scripts, have Back-up experience using Data Protector, experience in an ITIL or Change Management environment highly preferred, as is SAN experience. Also highly preferred is experience building mission critical servers.
