Summary
As a Senior Hyperion Developer, you will be responsible for the design, configuration, development, and monitoring of the Hyperion System 9 Planning system to meet our business needs. You will work closely with the Senior Hyperion Business Analyst and the Global Finance community to deliver, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance our finance system's functionality. You will add value to the financial software applications and business through your knowledge of Hyperion products, and through constructive teamwork with business and other IS teams throughout the organization.
Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist-level functional and development knowledge in designing Hyperion System 9 Planning solutions to meet business requirements

  • Ensure production environment stability and provide continued support globally

  • Understand the business processes and how the application supports the business processes and apply this knowledge to best solve problems

  • Understand dependencies and interrelationships between separate functional modules of Hyperion Planning among forms, business rules, calculation scripts, variables, and Essbase databases. Design, build, and troubleshoot with this knowledge

  • Maintain the interface points between Hyperion Planning and other applications

  • Perform data extraction/load process using AIS, HAL, and Essbase lock/send

  • Manage and maintain Hyperion Essbase servers and Essbase Administration servers

  • Assist in user requirements gathering and conduct documentation designs

  • Provide alternatives based on best practices and application functionality

Experience/Skills
Required Background/Experience

  • Bachelor???s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field

  • 5+ years experience with Hyperion, with at least a year of experience in Hyperion System 9

  • 2+ yrs project management or work scheduling experience

  • Demonstrated project management, work planning, and prioritization experience for a small group

  • Experience working on at least two full life cycle Hyperion projects

  • Proven experience in providing system support and direct contact with users to solve issues with business applications

  • Strong knowledge of Hyperion Planning Application, including Essbase, Planning, Web Reports, and Share Services

  • Expert knowledge of Essbase elements such as outlines, dimensions, measures, members, and metadata administration

  • Proficient in both Essbase Excel add-in and Smart View

  • Extensive financial process and functional knowledge


Major Pluses to have

  • Basic understanding of SAP BW and SAP Finance module

  • Experience in European, U.S., Asia-Pacific, and South African business and statutory requirements
