Description
Database Engineer - Senior Manager

Responsible for the definition, design, construction, integration, testing, and support of reliable and reusable software solutions, addressing business opportunities. Includes systems analysis, creation of specifications, coding, testing, and implementation of application programs and data interfaces

  • Interface with PMs, BSAs, Testers, Architects and other developers to deliver solution
  • Review and input to Business and System Requirements
  • Provide estimate for technical solutions
  • Create design from requirements
  • Ensure quality through reviews and testing
  • Lead other developers to deliver solution
  • Provide technical task and implementation plan for solutions
  • Interface with external vendors to design solutions and develop or troubleshoot issues
  • Assist with root cause analysis and resolution of 3rd level support issues
  • Create SDM deliverables and adhere to COF development standards

    Associate must be able to, design, and develop, quality solutions to meet requirements on various projects. Position requires delivery of solutions within and outside of team. Position may require management or mentoring of junior developers.

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have 4-5+ years experience and knowledge of Oracle Configuration/Performance and Tuning, MQ Configuration/Performance and Tuning, SQL Server Database software; Development software; Internet software and Project Management softwaredf-tc

    Experience/Skills
    Basic Qualifications:

    • B.A./B.S. degree

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Ability to derive design from requirements
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
    • Ability to write and/or maintainreports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals and system documentation.
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from all audience levels both verbally and written.
    • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
    • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
    • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
