Description
Functional Title: Sr IT Project Manager
Salary: capped at $105,000 to start
Travel: Heavy! - Multiple locations / engagements
Location: based in Plano, TX
Scope: IT PM - Transisition - Deployment - IT Infrastructure

General Responsibilities:
  • Develops project plans and successfully executes plans to a successful conclusion through strong leadership and organization skills
  • Assists with the development and implementation of project processes aligned with the Project Management Methodology (PMM) framework and PMI principles
  • Identifies and communicates process improvement opportunities to the PMO Manager
  • Ensures that project work plans and project deliverables conform to all project standards
  • Provides clear, concise and timely communication, guidance and support on work plans and project processes to all levels of the project team and appropriate management
  • Generates weekly/monthly project reports using Microsoft Project 2003, Windows, Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Escalates concerns, issues, and/or risks to Management and the PMO
  • Completes special assignments and other relevant duties as assigned to ensure successful completion of project
  • Provides timely and accurate updates to multiple project work plans using Microsoft Project Professional 2003

    Required:
  • 8-10 years of demonstrated project and/or program management, process development / compliance, and problem solving skills in the information technology services industry, with an emphasis on the transition and migration of IT infrastructure and associated systems
  • Must be able to multitask
  • PMP Certification is required
  • Willing to travel as needed (50% - 100%).

    Desired:
  • ITIL Certification is preferred
  • A solid background with 3-5 years experience in Business Requirements Analysis, and development of Business Plans is also preferred.
