Description
The Senior IT System Administrator will be responsible for all computing, communications and business/engineering applications infrastructure for the Fremont site. In addition, this person will work closely with the Engineering Lab administrators on lab projects from time to time. The ideal candidate will have: Previous start-up experience 5+ years experience administering a mixed Unix/Windows environment including cross-platform services like NFS, Samba, DNS and NIS 3+ years experience administering Microsoft Exchange (5.5 or 2000) Strong skill set with web servers and web based applications * Apache, IIS Strong background in remote administration and secure access methods including VPN, SSH and Dialup Experience managing backup systems with commercial solutions (Veritas and/or Legato) Experience providing desktop support for MS Office applications Experience supporting Oracle, MySQL and SQL Server databases Experience supporting business applications like Siebel and Great Plains. Experience supporting engineering applications like Bugzilla, Perforce etc. Experience managing PBXs (Altigen). A Bachelors degree.
