Senior Tester

DUTIES >> Provides consultation at the highest technical level to project teams and client areas assisting with the successful development and implementation of effective computer systems applications. Consults with client and IT management and staff throughout the project life cycle, to assist and support the design, development and implementation of effective systems. Provides guidance in the creation of standard test environments, tests plans, and test scripts. Analyzes, designs new or modified Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and standards and assists in the development and implementation of QA metrics for assessing the quality of delivered application software. Participates in the review of new QA software and consults with IT staff and client areas in resolving questions during the testing process. Works with client and IT management and staff to establish and maintain a consistent test methodology.

Experience/Skills


SKILLS >> 4+ years work experience is software testing
2+ years development experience
Works both independently and collaboratively Experience with WinRunner and/or QuickTest Professional is required Experience with NUnit or other like tool is required Translate requirements into manual and automated test cases Proactively participate in maintaining team standards and best practices Partner with the software development and QA teams to identify the products and services to be tested based on business priority Identifies tests that are most appropriate for automation, creates and maintains both automated and manual tests, and applies techniques that insure maintainable test assets Defines, develops and executes test strategies considering risk and cost of testing Knowledge of VB.NET, ASP.NET, .Net Framework, JavaScript, SQL Server, AGILE Methodology, Data Modeling, JCL, QuickJobs, Java Applet, and Source Control
