NVR Inc. is seeking a highly self-motivated individual to assume the position of Senior Information Security Analyst in our Reston, VA Corporate Headquarters.

Send in your resume if you are a professional with:
  • At least 2-4 years experience in an information security role or information assurance role.
  • Experience in implementing information security strategies to ensure compliance with regulations including HIPAA, GLBA, SOX and Data Privacy.
  • Security-related industry certifications a plus (e.g., CISA, CISSP, GSEC, Security+).
  • Knowledge of security industry practices and standards including ISO 17799, and NIST.
  • Strong verbal communication and collaboration skills - able to work with both technical and non-technical personnel to research and resolve problems.
  • Strong written communication skills including the ability to develop and write security policies, documentation, and guidelines for technical staff and end users.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science or equivalent discipline.

    As a Senior Information Security Analyst you will be responsible for:

  • Participating in risk management and risk assessment activities
  • Supporting the IT Department to create, document, and implement policies, procedures and practices
  • Supporting the monitoring of compliance with the company's information security policies and procedures
  • Monitoring network and systems vulnerabilities using security tools and technologies
  • Ensuring that vulnerability assessments are performed to evaluate effectiveness of existing controls
  • Supporting the patch management process in the identification and classification of systems patches
  • Supporting the IT department in the definition of the security related aspect for new projects and enhancements
  • Supporting the definition and update of security baselines for operating systems and databases including Windows, Unix and SQL server
  • Supporting investigation of security violations and incidents
