BASIC FUNCTION:

Perform complex information systems analysis, programming, systems administration tasks. Participates as a member or lead of a work group or project team in straightforward issues and implementing infrastructure in support of business information systems. Usually given general guidelines and works with a high degree of independence.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Provide analysis and resolve issues with intricate desktop, server, network infrastructure issues
• Provide analysis and resolve issues with intricate technology aspects of business applications
• Create, support, modify and maintain the most complex systems and programs.
• Interact with senior management, advise on significant technical issues and coordinates across lines of business.
• Ensure and recommend improvements in the compliance with defined internal and external standards and regulations.

EDUCATION:

Minimum - Bachelors degree in math, computer science, or equivalent technical field with 6 years experience.

Preferred - Masters degree in math, computer science, or equivalent technical field with 6-8 years experience.

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS REQUIRED:

Knowledge of client-server computing in a multi-vendor environment. Ability to diagnose hardware problems. Understanding of complex business systems with some degree of technology specialization in areas such as database administration, network administration, storage area networks, good verbal and written skills for communicating with clients and documenting work.

Interpersonal Skills: Required skills include excellent communication, interpersonal, documentation and technical skills.

Technical Skills: Core technical skills required include Windows Server Operating systems (2000, 2003, 2008; standard, advanced and enterprise); Windows Desktop Operating Systems (XP, Vista); Unix (AIX) Operating system navigation and X-Windows setup; Oracle Database Administration (v7, 8i, 9i, 10g, 11g, RMAN, Grid); Data Warehouse concepts; Active Directory and Group Policy definitions; SAN/NAS connectivity; and Network connectivity and services (FTP, TCP/IP).
