Description
We are gearing up for a 3-year project in OC and need Senior Information Systems Technicians to perform remote installation services to automate the installation of Windows 2000/XP, MS Office XP/2003 and critical updates, hot fixes via unattended installation files, batch files, silent switches, software deployment packaging utilities and group policy through the use of Active Directory.

Must have experience with ERMI, Advantage Desktop, CAMS, APS Oracle and MSSP Case Management and Alchemy

Preferred Skills:
Minimum 5 years of experience with MS Windows 2000 and XP and Office 2000 and XP.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a computer field technician.
A+ certification highly desirable.
MCSE highly desirable.
Supervision experience leading a team of technicians.
Experience using Lexmark Mark Vision.
Must possess a valid California drivers license and reliable automobile.

Duties and Responsibilities include:
Assessing the impact of all service packs, software updates and product upgrades on the existing network and applications environment through comprehensive component testing and review.
Performing new product reviews and generating assessment documents for recommendation.
Testing and configuring group policy changes before being used in a production environment.
Testing software deployment packages using group policy in a test environment.
Maintaining remote access policy to enable remote dial-up to data center for offsite users.
Support and troubleshot Windows XP Professional and Windows 2000 Professional.
Documenting procedures and changes to software and configuration settings.
Assisting with day-to-day Help Desk troubleshooting responsibilities.
Creating and performing QA on images for new computers per Agency standards
Testing new applications and legacy applications for compatibility in our current Windows environment.
Identifying and resolving network problems relating to media, protocol, transport and equipment.
Testing deployment methods for software by policy to computers or filtered to users.
Providing maintenance and clean up of Active Directory computer objects and policies.
Creating and maintaining software installation procedures.
Create and maintain computer objects in Active Directory/
Visual Basic scripts to perform general administrative duties such as modifying the registry, gather remote system information, etc.
Utilize remote Desktop Management solutions to resolve desktop problems
Imaging PCs and Laptops using RIS (MSI package), Ghost or SMS
Installing, configuring and resolving issues related to peripherals, such as scanners, projectors, Blackberries, digital cameras, printers, card readers, encrypted USB drives
Providing 1st and 2nd level support to user requests
Monitoring and resolving PC patching issues
Answering Helpdesk phones as required
Providing timely onsite service and support for over remote locations
