Position Summary

The Senior Technology Engineer provides technical leadership in the design, development, and implementation of information technology that support business and project objectives.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor???s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or related field strongly preferred or equivalent training and experience.
License/Certification: Valid New Jersey Drivers License required.
Experience: 10-15 years related experience required. Previous technical project management and Information Technology leadership experience required. Healthcare experience preferred.
Technical Skills:
?? Microsoft Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems up to and including Vista
?? Microsoft Active Directory and Policy design, deployment, and security
?? TCP/IP networking and trouble shooting
?? Current versions of Cisco IOS plus routing and high availability protocols
?? Linux and/or AIX
?? VMWare

Performance Expectations

?? Effectively provides direction and technical support to the all information technology teams including systems, network, and development, ensuring that each project has the technical, operational and system resources available to meet project goals.
?? Ensures the development, installation, and maintenance of information technology hardware, software and related systems, meet or exceed business and needs and technology standards within operational and procedural parameters.
?? Ensures all information technology hardware, software and related systems are documented, secured, and maintained according to departmental and organizational standards.
?? Leads and participates in the identification, resolution, and prevention of issues and problems which may impede technology related operation and availability.
?? Provides recommendations and support for appropriateness, applicability, and quality of each system based on industry standards and established business needs.
?? Provides project management and technical expertise to ensure timely implementation and quality of information technology projects to satisfy customer requirements. Follows established project principles and methodologies.
?? Identifies new and/or existing technologies, process designs and feasibility studies necessary to satisfy client???s business plan requirements.
?? Participates in the development or long-range planning and integration strategies that support organizational objectives.
?? Provides technical and professional leadership and technical direction to information technology staff and project teams.
?? Ensures the development of policies and procedures that support effective information technology systems management.
?? Evaluates vendor proposals and makes recommendations to management on equipment purchases, resource allocations, and business technology needs.
?? Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
?? Understands and practices the InfoShare Values.
?? Adheres to organization and InfoShare Policies and Procedures.
?? Performs other duties as assigned.
?? Understand that one co-worker???s problem is everyone???s problem and works as part of a team to remediate.

Work Environment

Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment on an occasional basis, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances, and potential injury. This position requires balancing, fingering, reaching, seeing, driving, and speaking a majority of the time. Works with such equipment as computer terminal, fax machine, copier, and telephone. Occasional carrying up to 20 lbs. also required.

Reporting Relationship

This position reports to the Vice President and Chief Technical Officer InfoShare and mentors the Systems Management staff.
