Senior Integration Engineer

Position Title: Senior Integration Engineer
City: Chicago
Duration: 3-6 month contract to hire, or Full Time
Salary: 100K

SUMMARY:
The main responsibility of the senior. Integration Engineer within Data management team is to design and implant solutions for data integration using a variety of EAI and ETL tools and methodologies appropriately.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Builds, unit tests and modifies API, EAI and ETL solutions
• Provides technical analysis on data exposure and delivery requests
• Liaises with Infrastructure teams to ensure proper application configurations and hardware performance efficiencies
• Employs industry standard best practices for integration patterns
• Provides level three support during zonal business hours
• Involved with the review and submission of all solution designs
• Establishes regular code reviews tied to on-going component development
• Exposes governance and best practices within the Interfaces Team

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Proficiency with Java, EJB, JDBC, and J2EE
• Working knowledge of XML
• Solid understanding of relational databases including Oracle and SQL Server
• Strong interest in Java-based Web application technology
• Ability to conceptualize and maneuver through cascading dependencies
• Solid understanding of testing methodologies
• Experience with version control products such as SVN, CVS.
• Highly effective communication skills both oral and written
• Ability to operate in a cross-functional collaborative environment

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

• TIBCO experience highly desirable
• Experience with software products for financial services including ULLINK, GMI.
• Experience with Real Time Messaging products such as MSMQ, MQ Series, and understanding of different protocols including FIX, SWIFT
• Datamodelling both relational and dimensional
• Content/Document Management (SharePoint)
• Financial industry experience helpful
• Series 3 or Series 7 certification a plus

EDUCATION:
Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience
