The Interactive Designer is responsible for generating the big idea as part of a team as well as creating engaging user interfaces across a broad spectrum of digital media. An outstanding talent for design, a passion for challenging the status quo, and a dedication to usability are required.Core Responsibilities- contribute to the accurate definition of project scope, estimates and timelines- create design that meets objectives of the brand, achieves behavior changing goals and wins awards.- demonstrate that usability and aesthetics work in concert, not in competition.- keep skills up to date and to keep abreast of changes within online media and emerging technologies.- exhibit an uncanny attention to detail when designing as well as an amazing ability to see the big picture when thinking conceptually.- remember that interactive is not confined to the computer screen or even the Web.- excel within a team environment with a variety of creatives and contributors.- demonstrate confidence and excellent verbal communication skills in order to present work to clients and to mentor junior designers.df-tc

Experience/Skills
Qualities and Skills Required- 4 year degree or training in Graphic Design or Advertising- 5+ years of experience designing and producing visual and creative concepts for a wide range of interactive applications- Strong design aesthetic/understanding, an eye for typography, color, layout and detail- Expert in design software specifically: Photoshop, Image Ready, Fireworks and Illustrator- Knowledge of Dream weaver, CSS, JavaScript, Flash and Actionscript- Basic comprehension and respects of information design- Expert in HTML programming, capabilities of browsers and design constraints on the Web- Basic knowledge in design tools relating to video, digital/cel animation, 3D apps, etc.- Strong cognitive skills - including problem solving, decision making and analysis- Ability to work alone or part of a team- Ability to multi-task, juggle multiple projects at one time, and meet tight deadlines- Proven record of successMUST HAVE AGENCY EXPERIENCEPlease submit online portfolio and credentials to Kathryn Pfriem, kathryn.pfriem@creativegroup.com, 612.333.7990
