L.L.Bean has an immediate opening for a talented Senior Intranet Designer to join our Learning & Communication department. The candidate selected for this key role will design and develop web pages using web editing and graphics software. As an internal consultant, you will advise departments on the best way to publish information to the web in order to achieve departmental objectives and goals. Then working collaboratively with project team members, you will use your creative and technical skills to design the end product. Additional responsibilities for this position include producing web graphics and developing on-line content to help expand our e-learning capabilities.

Experience/Skills
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience, or a combination of experience and education, in the design, building and maintenance of web sites. HTML development knowledge and familiarity with web development tools, such as JavaScript, DHTML and CSS, and current web design practices are a must. A firm understanding of writing client-side scripts for common web scenarios, such as form field validation, reading/writing cookies and dynamic content is also needed.

Proven experience developing e-learning content and motion graphics is highly desirable. Essential to this role is a firm understanding of effective, written communication principles for the web. Equally important is the ability to lead web projects, possess strong communication skills, and be able to influence across levels. A BA/BS degree in Graphic Design, Computer Science or Communications is required.
