Summary
As a Senior J2EE Developer, you will be a key player in bringing new and existing customized functionalities to our business partners, for agility and ease of use.
Duties/Responsibilities

  • Perform programming and design tasks to meet company needs, either through individual effort or within a team environment

  • Participate in the decision making process with immediate supervisor as well as with project teams

  • Make recommendations to effect changes in existing software

Experience/Skills
Required Background/Experience

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience

  • 3+ years programming, including at least 2 years of Java 5/J2EE web development and analysis experience

  • Proficient in EJB 3.0, JDBC, Hibernate, JBoss Seam, JUnit, and Oracle PL/SQL

  • Familiar with Adobe Flex and AJAX libraries, such as Dojo and Google Web Toolkit

  • Experience with OO design and development, including the UML, as well as database concepts

  • Experience with Eclipse or other web application development tool

  • Understanding of file normalization and data modeling techniques

  • Demonstrated design ability

  • Procedural development/workflow analysis experience


Major Pluses to have

  • DAO or other design pattern experience

  • AS/400 (iSeries) development and DB2 database experience

  • JSTL, AJAX, and Websphere experience

  • Understanding of the business and technical elements of the insurance industry
