Summary
As a senior member of the Transaction Application team, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of FIX infrastructure to support our trading platforms.
Duties/Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical design, implementation, deployment, and support for the firm’s FIX environment and other third-party trading solutions

  • Lead a small team of engineers in designing and building new functionalities

  • Work with business analysts to review and implement new requirements

  • Partner with Project Managers, Technical and QA Leads on estimates, status reports, planning, and quality assurance tasks

  • Partner with the infrastructure teams to ensure that our infrastructure is up-to-date with the industry standards

  • Stay current with evolving Trading industry and technical trends to ensure continuous improvement to the existing systems and applications

Experience/Skills
Required Background/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5+ years systems development experience in Java/J2EE technologies

  • 3+ years experience in FIX interface administration and support, preferably with Appia engine

  • 3+ years experience with Solaris and Oracle database programming

  • Extensive knowledge of Trading solutions such as LiquidNet, Lava and Omgeo

  • Experience with Electronic trading, client connectivity, trading interface design, message format, and certification testing

  • Knowledge of software development methodologies and experience with automated testing tools


You must possess the following qualities:

  • Excellent technical, management, and communication skills

  • Detail-oriented and ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment

  • Aptitude for technical troubleshooting and proven ability to support mission critical applications
