Job Description:

Sr. J2EE Infrastructure Architect (Infrastructure and Application Deployment focused)
Location: Atlanta, GA

Salary Role

Required Skills:

- at least 10+ years of I/T experience on a variety of platforms and technologies
- at least 5 years of hands-on deploying and configuring infrastructure for N-tier architectures.
- Must have been a lead deployment architect in at least 2 large-scale J2EE projects.
- Infrastructure architecture design including server, storage and network architecture
- System admin skills in AIX, UNIX; also WebSphere admin skills
- SAN engineering backup/recovery skills
- Experience with WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Portal Server, and TIM/TAM

Nice to have:

- Experience with WebSphere Process Server, rules engine (e.g. Fair Isaac), and Cognos is a plus.

Duties/Responsibilities:

- This senior level position is expected to provide technical expertise to peers and associates on the overall infrastructure architecture as it relates to the IT and business strategies.
Lead in insuring that the infrastructure aligns with the overall enterprise architecture goals.
- Serve as the infrastructure architect technical lead in the assessment, analysis, and design phases of the IT related projects.
- Working with the other IT groups and maintaining an infrastructure roadmap that provides reduced overall complexity and increased cost efficiency.
- Provide leadership and direction through technical subject matter expertise.
- Assist in developing and maintaining the Infrastructure strategies that result in efficient and effective use of their Infrastructure information technology products and services.
- Coach and mentor peers and associates in the area of Infrastructure architecture.
- Document the Infrastructure architecture environment and procedures to insure the infrastructure remains cost effective, efficient, and of high quality.
- Maintain expertise in the area of architecture, including industry trends, strategies, and products to ensure that assets are effectively and efficiently utilized.
- Provide technical IT expertise to, and assist in, the selection of new hardware and software platforms
- evaluate the entire proposed operating environment of the J2EE based products with respect to hardware, software and configurations and suggest modifications as needed
- Candidate should be able and willing to 'roll up their sleeves' and offer hands-on assistance as required in the project.
