Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for continuing to maintain and improve the company J2EE application architecture and to support the development of the IntraLinks application. This resource has primary responsibility for designing the end-to-end architecture of component-based, services-oriented applications developed in Java technology/J2EE. This is a multi-disciplinary technical role which requires strong object-oriented design skills, relational database design skills, Web application architecture and presentation framework skills, J2EE and Java technology architecture, SOAP, Web services, XML and knowledge of Web application security.


Responsibilities:

  • Establish J2EE application architecture practice within the development team
  • Participate as a lead in the evolution of IntraLinks' J2EE application architecture.
  • Provide guidance and direction throughout the development of IntraLinks' J2EE standards, policies and best practices.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on development methodologies and frameworks for projects as well as Java and J2EE technologies.
  • As project team member, assist in the design of core business components utilizing industry accepted object-oriented analysis and design standards.
  • Assist in implementing solutions that integrate the IntraLinks systems with third-party utilities and applications.
  • Perform technology/tools evaluation and software technical proof of concepts.
  • Develop relationships with key users and stakeholders to facilitate coordination and communication.

Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in related field required, masters preferred. J2EE architect certification preferred.
  • 10+ years experience in mid-size to large corporate environment (financial/pharmaceutical experience preferred).
  • Proven experience estimating, planning, designing, and implementing n-tier software architectures and solutions.
  • Strong experience and knowledge with frameworks.

Tools and Technologies:
  • End-to-end design of J2EE applications.
  • EJB, JSP, Servlets, JMS, JDBC, SOA, Web Services, SOAP, XML/XSLT, BEA WebLogic.
  • Oracle relational data management with RAC experience.
  • WebServices experience and familiarity with MS.net.
  • Web presentation design tools (Macromedia Studio, FrontPage etc.) as well as HTML, DHTML, client side scripting and CSS. Knowledge of JSF is a plus.
