We have an immediate need for a Senior Java Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities include:
- Leading a team of developers through technical analysis, design, construction of highly complex and scalable internet application projects.
- Researching and tracking new web technologies.
- Providing direction and guidance to less experienced staff.
- Ensuring compliance with development best practices, security policies and delivering code with high quality within project timelines.

Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years Senior Java Developer.
- Good Design skills and knowledge of tools such as Enterprise Architect - J2EE, JSP, Servlets, JSTL, etc.
- Strong Web Services application development, mainly in Java, proven expertise of Axis1.2 and Xmlbeans
- Experience and good knowledge of Struts and Spring frameworks
- Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle, knowledge of RUP is required.
- Solid working knowledge of WebLogic 9 (or similar Application Servers)
- Strong experience using CSS, HTML, DHTML and JavaScript - Setting up and implementing JUnit (or other) testing framework.
- Demonstrated skills integrating with graphing tools such as Corda and PDF generators
- Strong knowledge of how to monitor applications to ensure 24x7 uptime.
- Good working knowledge of Fail Over and Redundancy and how to ensure these are handled.
- Experience with web applications that handle high-volume.
- Excellent Communication Skills.
- Able to interface across multiple lines of business and technology groups.
- Good organization and follow-up skills.
- Good leadership skills, must have demonstrated ability to lead a group of developers

Preferred Skills
- Experience with SQL, Spring Hibernate and JDBC.
- Strong C++ skills, must be able to extend legacy C++ code and migrate existing C++ applications to Java
- Experience in the banking or financial industry.
- Strong subject matter knowledge of Banking Products and Services as well as Money Movement products
- Strong subject matter knowledge of Online Banking login services related to username and password services.
- Prior experience developing Money Movement or other online banking self-services features
