THIS IS A PERM POSITION CANDIDATES MUST BE A US CITIZEN, OR GREEN CARD. Required Skills The candidate should have the ability to work in a team environment,and be able to articulate and communicate business requirements andtechnical solutions to team members, business partners and seniormanagement. Candidate must be proficient in UNIX, SQL/Oracle, XML, Java/J2EE (JSPs, Servlets, EJBs, JDBC) on any application servers. Experience withfollowing is preferred: Websphere, WSAD, Eclipse, JUnit, Ant. Candidate must have an understanding of the common GOF (Gang of Four)design patterns, J2EE architecture and UML. Experience in HTML/JavaScript/CSS, LDAP, Crystal Reports, Actuate,Harvest, TCL Must be able to assume project responsibility and interfaceeffectively with all management levels. Must have demonstrated effectiveproblem solving and communication skills, and enjoys being part of a team.Must possess strong technical skills across multiple technologiesplatforms, focused primarily in the distributed component and Webapplication environments. Must possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Exceptional customer service skills required. Looking for a highlymotivated individual that likes to be challenged. Working knowledge of HTML and XML, XSLT, Web Services, SOAP ispreferred. Any experience with Eclipse, WSAD, Websphere application server,JMS, TIBCO, MQ and Webmethods integration platform is a plus. Experience in the financial industry supporting trading applicationsis a big plus. Formal experience in understanding and application of the SystemsDevelopment Life Cycle (SDLC) is required. Experience preparing accuratetechnical work estimates is essential. Working Knowledge of JSF, JMS, XDoclet, SOA, ETL and other upcomingtechnologies is a plus.EducationNormally requires a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, ManagementInformation Systems (MIS) or equivalent combination of education andexperience working on specialized software systems. Masters degree ispreferred.Job DescriptionThe candidate must demonstrate the ability to independently solve complextechnical problems that significantly impact daily business processing.Generally possesses complete application system knowledge for the businessunit supported. Will be involved in production system problem resolutionand will provide off-hour support. Rotational pager support is required.The candidate must understand the business requirements, determine systemdesign considerations, prepare work estimate, conduct design walk throughwith client and/or technical team and perform software developmentactivities in the Presentation tier, Middle tier (business logic, businessrules, data access layer). Incumbent will provide operational andtechnical support when the software is in service.An ideal candidate will be a strong technologist with a deep understandingof Financial Capital Markets i.e., with full product life cycle forsecurities, foreign exchange and derivatives (credit, equity, & interestrate).
