Description:



The Program is seeking a Senior Java Developer experienced Java/XML developer that has extensive knowledge of J2SE, J2EE, servlets, JavaServer Pages, JavaScript, HTML, HTTP, and XML.

The successful candidate will be proficient with Java, design patterns, and OO development methodologies.
Extensive experience with XML/XSL and related technologies.
Experience using component models and Object-Oriented languages (Java, C/C++). Strong design experience with proven ability to document using UML and Javadocs. Experience in Unix, AIX, and Windows development environments.
Experience in use of UML and Rational tools and RUP in programming specification design and development.
Knowledge of Database designs and technologies.
Must have two years experience as leading Java J2EE developers with a minimum of 5 years experience developing Java applications in a WebSphere environment and 3 years using WASD.
Familiar with WebSphere security, testing and administration techniques.
Working knowledge of Java, Oracle, XML, HTTP/HTML, JavaScript
Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Product Knowledge:


The ideal candidate will be familiar with:



AIX PSeries server architecture and IBM WebSphere Network Deployment

Products and Rational Modeling and Development tools

Familiarity with MQSeries, Oracle RDBMS and/or Borland-s StarTeam and CalibreRM is a nice to have.

Industry Knowledge:

Knowledge of US Census Bureau data helpful but not mandatory.

Good attitude and willingness to learn is required.
