Senior Java/J2EE Developer

Global Financial Firm located in Jersey City, NJ has an immediate contract position for a
Senior Java/J2EE Developer

The group focuses on automating and modernizing Back Office platforms, while implementing and leveraging cross product shared services opportunities. The group includes Capital Markets Operations Technology; Information Services Group; Financial Investment Research & Analysis, Banking, and Consulting Services. As part of a new initiative we would be developing a Dashboard/Portal and Datawarehouse to track and manage metrics automatically, over time and in many dimensions. The team is responsible for implementing new application components, integrating existing components for the dashboard/portal and pulling together data from various sources.

Key Requirements:
Strong Java/J2EE background (Servlets, JSP, JSTL, JDBC, JMS, SOAP, Web Services)
Extensive experience using Web framework particularly Spring.
Experience of designing and implementing object-oriented solutions utilizing recognized design and architecture patterns.
Experience in Ant/Maven, Log4J, JUnit, WebLogic Application Server and Eclipse.
Experience in Data Grid Middleware (JBoss Cache/Coherence)
Experience in ORM too like Hibernate.
Knowledge of XML and XML Schema.
Competency in JavaScript and HTML.
Knowledge of SQL and databases (Oracle)
Experience working in Linux and UNIX environment.
Experience working on portals, dashboards and large scale Intranet applications
Energetic and willing to learn new things
Ability to work well with others and multitask

Major Pluses:
PDF and Excel rendering using iText, JExcel, XSL-FO and/or FOP
Experience in SOA.
Experience using enterprise Middleware technologies such as JMS, Tibco EMS.
