WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE POSITION?
The Consultant's role is a technical position that requires strong application design/development skills and excellent communication skills.
The successful candidate will have three to five years of programming/systems analysis and industry specific business experience.
Requires in-depth experience and understanding of multiple programming languages. systems, analysis and design, integration, and software development methodologies.
The objective of this role is to ensure that the business and quality requirements are being met by the technical design and implementation.



The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and competencies:
- Ability to develop code quickly and with high quality as part of a 12 person team of developers
- Experience working on development/support teams for large Internet-based front-end applications.
- Strong understanding of and experience using software development "best practices".
- Design components of the system and review designs with the Technical Lead and/or Project Architect.
- Strong technical skills.
- Good communication skills. The ability to effectively present his/her ideas to other team members and external teams.
- Very strong technical skills in most of the following technologies:

- Object-Oriented Design and Development

- Java/J2EE Development

- XML/Soap/Web Services

- Weblogic Portal

- Ajax, Javascript, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)

- Rich Internet Application (RIA) and Web 2.0 Development

- Unit Testing Tools, such as JUnit

- Integration with Content Management Systems, especially Documentum

- Source code management tolls, especially PVCS

- Oracle/SQL

- Apache Ant

Salary range: $46-49 on hourly basis / 85K-92K on annual basis depending on the skillset
