Job title: Senior/Lead Systems Engineer with Strong Hardware/Software experience

CDI is looking for a Senior/Lead Systems Engineer with Strong Hardware/Software experience to work on a full-time, permanent basis with one of our clients in the Melbourne, FL area. This person will be leading projects and engaging with customers on highly complex or new technology applications. They will be engaging directly with customers at the engineering, procurement and senior management levels to present our client=E2=80=99s engineering capabilities and value proposition. They will identify new technologies, products and suppliers to increase our client=E2=80=99s Value Proposition while working with Supply Chain Management to create a reliable supplier base. He/she will research, select, and develop appropriate technical solutions for customer applications, including managing Engineering Project Teams in the development of primarily Intel x86 compatible computer hardware and software solutions. They will develop and maintain Engineering Project Plans to support design and product development of new computing platforms for customer applications, and coordinate with other Engineering Project Managers and the Director of Engineering to manage shared project resources. He/she will manage the building, testing and documentation of Proof of Concept and Pre-Production computer platforms. They will visit customer sites where appropriate to conduct face to face meetings, develop customer requirements, conduct presentations, and present solutions. He/she will manage product development activities and produce engineering documentation in compliance with our client=E2=80=99s ISO quality system. They will generate new product configurations for customer proposals using established engineering processes for new product development, and coordinate with other departments to support engineering projects. He/she will work closely with Sales Account Managers to reconcile Engineering Projects with overall customer project requirements, and be responsible for the execution of Engineering Project Plans to meet schedules and budgets.

Required Skills: 8+ years in Hardware/Software Systems Design/Integration; Strong Research & Development Experience; Lead/Management Experience; Operating System Experience (Microsoft/UNIX/Linux); Strong Documentation skills.

Desired Skills: ERP system experience; Experience working in an ISO 9000 environment; Bachelor=E2=80=99s Degree.df-tc
