This is a great opportunity to work for an internationally recognized company located in the Portland, Oregon area. Portland offers the amenities of a large metro area yet still has a small town look and feel. The region is surrounded by rivers, mountains, wineries, 1 hours from the Pacific Ocean and1 hours from year-round snow skiing, renowned fishing and much more. Job Title: Senior Level HP-UX Administrator (please noteno corp-to-corp or sponsorships are available) Start Date: 02/21/05 Duration: 3 months + Location: Beaverton, OR Resources Required: 1 Maximum Pay Rate: $55/hr Qualifications: Must be able to work in the US without Sponsorship Must be able to work as our W2 employee NO SUBCONTRACTING, 1099, Corp-to-Corp, etc. Overview: Our customer, Business to Supplier (B2S), is focused primarily on developing, enhancing and maintaining applications and infrastructure necessary to carry on business activities with their internal client's suppliers. These applications are housed onsite in their Beaverton, OR offices on the clients owned hardware and require ongoing upgrades, patches and support. The chosen candidate for this position will be self motivated and be able to hit the ground running. The contractor must be self sufficient and be able to find answers to his/her problems but not be afraid to ask questions if needed. Strong communication skills are absolutely necessary to successfully fulfill this contract. Required Skills: 4+ years experience with HP-UX in an engineering capacity (administering patches, dealing with security, performance tuning, scripting using Bourne and PERL, etc.) 3+ years of proven experience with configuring and troubleshooting Apache web servers, including SSL Documented experience working in a multi-tiered web environment A solid understanding of networking concepts, particularly firewalls and load balancers Nice-to-Have Skills: SAP Enterprise Portal 6.0 experience Experience with Java OOD Java application server administration Strong application security background Other: This is a contract position requires the work to be performed in a normal 40 hour workweek Mon Fri during standard business hours unless otherwise stated.
