CLIENT NEEDS J2EE DEVELOPER NOW IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS, YOU WILL GET AN INTERVIEW TECHNICAL SCREENING will be done before being sent to client Candidates MUST BE STRONG in EJB, JSP, Struts, JNDI -- EJB & STRUTS ARE REQUIRED Eclipse IDE would also be good to have. Must have (8) years J2EE. Need to have WebLogic -- Websphere would be a HUGE plus. (applications are currently in Weblogic, migrating to Websphere) Good communication skills are a must. Oracle exp nice, but not a deal breaker RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for providing ongoing support and enhancements as well as performance tuning of eLearning applications, development and maintenance of internal tools to support eLearning applications, integration with IT systems and the documentation of eLearning libraries. Job will include systems design, analysis coding documentation testing implementation and support for eLearning applications. Software defect prioritization and resolution Development of enhancements to eLearning platforms, applications and libraries Provide Tier 3 customer support for eLearning platforms and applications tuning Participate in QA process for eLearning platforms an applications for performance tuning Document and perform code reviews of corporate libraries and platforms Develop and maintain scripts and tools for building, testing and deploying platforms, applications and libraries Develop necessary tools to support eLearning applications and platforms within the organization Intergration of eLearning application and platforms into back office infrastructure Qualifications 8+ years experience in hands on application development required. Direct experience developing in a J2EE environment and web development using Java along with other internet technologies such as HTML, JSP,Struts, XML and XSLT are REQUIRED. Extensive knowledge of Internet application servers (especially Webshpere) Oracle and OO analysis and design required Familiarity with web services and service based architecture required Minimum 2 to 3 years direct experience with eLearning application development Experience with content management systems and web content delivery strongly preferred Ability to confidently make technical recommendations and drive decisions without close supervision Strong communication skills and ability to explain concepts to non technical management required Knowledge of K-12 eLearning industry and its specific competitive requirements relative to eLearning platforms, eTesting, and online content delivery. Minimum of 5 years of experience with relational databases and SQL in an Oracle environment. Experience writing and debugging install scripts, testing various deployment configurations, writing build routines, maintaining aspects of the source code control environment, porting key parts of the core production to various platforms. * Experience developing, deploying and supporting large scale, highly available, Internet applications is required. Education: BS in Computer Science, Business, or Engineering.
