Description

Qualified candidates will be tasked with the ownership and maintenance of multiple production iSeries systems, each incorporating multiple LPARs. Three systems totaling 50+ LPARS. These systems are located in both our Lake Mary and Atlanta data centers. The individual will be responsible for maintaining 5 nines system uptime and work schedule will be flexible to accommodate that goal. Daily reporting to management regarding system status will be required, and a strict change control policy must be observed. This position rotates an on-call schedule with other system administrators to provide after hours troubleshooting as necessary.

Minimum Requirements

? Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.

? System Administrator Certification

? Minimum 10 years in AS/400, iSeries and Power I System Admin

? IBM System i, iSeries or AS/400 hardware and operating system expertise (V5R3, V5R4 and V6R1)

? LPAR/HMC/multiple machines experience required.

? PTFs/patch updates mastery (including HMC and FSP)

? Hardware upgrade experience is required.

? Knowledge of basic CL programming

? Familiar with iSeries replication tools such as noMAX, Vision, iTerea

? Knowledge of IBM's BRMS.

? Ability to install or perform OS upgrades up to the current V5 and V6 levels

? Ability to implement and troubleshoot object level security related issues and environments

? Ability to interact with personnel at all levels of the company to obtain, analyze, and discuss business processes and solutions.

? Must plan, organize, prioritize, schedule, coordinate, and manage projects and adjust to changing priorities.

? Ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Word for daily administrative tasks.

? Familiarity with configuration of new LPAR

? Familiarity with system monitoring software

? Proficiency with iSeries Access and iSeries Navigator including SSL configuration

? Ability to create SSL Certificates within DCM

? Ability to document and communicate policies and standards for systems as deemed necessary

? System Analyst skills a must

? iSeries/System Performance Tuning expertise

? TCP/IP configuration, troubleshooting and implementation a must

? Auditing and journal maintenance experience

? Ability to generate System Plans from an HMC

? On-call availability including holidays and weekends as necessary

? Ability to adapt to self-educate on new technologies to provide assistance and/or recommendations regarding its usage

? Experience with the following software a plus: Datagate, Halcyon, Jacada, Naviline, Acom, FormsPrint, RVI, OptiSpool, Cognos
