Description
Senior Level Linux System Administrator with 5 years of experience and in-depth knowledge in:
TCP/IP networking concepts, RHEL, SLES Operating Systems, 32 &64 bit Intel/AMD hardware platforms, LVM2/device mapper.


Familiarity with:

-Building Linux Servers (Kickstart, Autoyast)
-Familiarity with Linux HA/Clustering.
-Familiarity with RPM Package Management/Maintenance.
-Familiarity with IBM & Dell BladeCenters.



Knowledge of/in:
-Sendmail, ssh, DNS, http, ssl and other key services provided with major Linux distributions.
-Business critical production data center environment.

Required:
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide advanced systems administration for Linux

Analyze system performance and suggest/implement tuning as needed.
Develop system tools and utilities (scripts, etc…) to simplify and support IT and business operations.
Plan, implement and manage systems initiatives with IT and customer teams.
Establish & maintain technical standards & server security policies.
Patch Linux servers (software as well as firmware), on scheduled basis as well as urgent security releases.
Communicate technical issues in terms that many audiences can understand
Provide updates and status to customers directly.df-tc
